Meet your candidates at city hall forum

All candidates will be transparently accountable

I can safely predict you will hear frequent mention of the words “accountability” and “transparency” at a meeting for all Kitchener candidates at city hall Tuesday night.

Nothing wrong with that unless the 25-30 candidates pontificating about such values keep their promises after their election campaigns — something that does not always happen once people are elected.

The meeting, organized by the Kitchener-Waterloo Social Planning Council, will be in the Rotunda between 6.30 and 9 p.m. During the meeting, round table discussions of issues will take place and, after that, each candidate will be given 2-3 minutes to outline his or her campaign platform.
